Note that the theme "we'll wait" is quite appropriate. There was no cricket played in England from 1914-1918 or from 1939-1945. Over 150 players from English International and domestic teams were killed in the First World War and over 70 in the 2nd. Wisden Cricketer's Almanacs (the annual compendium of English and World Cricket) between 1915 and 1919 were filled with little more than obituaries.

Ireland's first Test Match as a full member of the International Cricket Council against England at Lord's Cricket Ground (Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field (289 years) put together, and Lord's has been at it for 233 years.

July 14, 2019: Cricket One Day International (ODI--50 overs--300 deliveries per side--about the length of a baseball double header) World Cup Final: England v New Zealand 

The first quadrennial World Cup was played in 1975. Of the teams that have participated in all World Cups, only England and New Zealand had never won. They met in a fantastic final, that went to a "super over" as the teams were tied after 600 legitimate deliveries had been bowled. This 8 minute highlight video is as good an introduction for the new fan as I can imagine.

A captivating and light voice in a place charged with spirituality: the exceptional concert of Agnes Obel at the Collège des Bernardins, recorded in September 2016.

Thanks to her albums Philharmonics in 2010 and Aventine in 2013, the Danish singer Agnes Caroline Thaarup known as Agnes Obel, based in Berlin, has become an essential musical figure of the current decade and the worthy heir of her models PJ Harvey or Portishead. On September 15, more than a month before the publication of Citizen Of Glass, during a Parisian concert filmed at the Collège des Bernardins, a Catholic cultural institution of Romanesque architecture on the outskirts of the Latin Quarter and classified as a heritage of historic monuments, Agnes Obel once again hid nothing of her feelings without ever showing off.

Under the vault and in the middle of the columns of the great nave of the Bernardins, ready to face the heavens, surrounded by three accomplices, the cellists Kristina Koropecki and Charlotte Danhier as well as the multi-instrumentalist Catherine de Biasio, she exclusively presented the ten new songs from Citizen Of Glass as they follow each other on the album, before revisiting three of his classics, On Powdered Ground, Smoke And Mirrors and Dorian. The talented Agnes Obel, like a mermaid capable of hiding from view, can smile well: her riddle remains intact.
